专业简介
该项目由香港中文大学经济系与西北大学教育与社会政策学院联合开设。学生在港中大先完成10个月课程，学习微观经济分析、宏观经济分析、数学与计量分析等应用经济学核心内容，随后赴美国西北大学继续10个月课程，涵盖政策因果推断方法、公共政策经济学、机器时代经济政策等专题，并可在中美政策语境下接受量化分析与数据驱动的实证训练。

In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, an applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree—ideally in economics, public policy, social policy, or a related field—from an accredited institution. English Language Proficiency Requirement Applicants must have met the English Language Proficiency Requirement by any of the following means: Obtaining a degree from a university in Hong Kong or completing an English-medium bachelor’s degree Scoring 85 or above on the internet-based TOEFL or 563 or above on the paper-based TOEFL (institution code:0812;departmental code:84)* Scoring at least 6.5 overall on the IELTS (Academic) test* Achieving Level 4 or above in the English-language subject of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination Achieving a pass grade in English on one of the following: - Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination - Hong Kong Higher Level Examination - CUHK matriculation examination - General Certificate of Education Examination: A-Level or AS-Level *TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date.
